In honour of Gerard 't Hooft's 60th birthday, a scientific
conference "Under the Spell of Physics" will be held on 14-16
July 2006. This unique occasion will be celebrated in a
special way and a special place.
Vlieland, one of the Dutch West Frisian Islands, is of
outstanding natural beauty and its beaches belong to the best
the Netherlands has to offer. The beach location of the
conference hotel and the special Gala Dinner on Saturday night
will doubtless stimulate and facilitate the exchange of old
and new arguments.
Gerard's wide-ranging interests will be reflected in a
high-powered scientific program, with many distinguished
speakers, and around 130 invited participants from all over
the world.
